Chopper72 | 847 posts @JaneCrane79 nice setup! One thing worth mentioning if you haven't already sorted it — make sure you've got the engine detection configured properly in the VictronConnect...

Anyone else had issues with a Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000 tripping on overload when running a kettle + microwave together?
Hey @ValleyAmy, worth checking a couple of things beyond what @OddJobBob22 mentioned. Your kettle alone is likely pulling 2.8-3kW, so adding even a modest microwave pushes you well over the 3kVA...

Anyone else using cheap Chinese PWM controllers or is it false economy?
Really useful contributions from everyone here. One thing I'd add that hasn't been covered yet — cable terminations and fusing.

Anyone else using a leisure battery as a short-term UPS for their router and NAS during power cuts?
So we've been getting a fair few grid outages lately — nothing catastrophic, maybe 20–30 minutes at a time, but enough to corrupt a backup job or knock the family off a video call at the worst...
