Great thread @Curly! One thing worth mentioning that I don't think's been covered yet - have a look at the ESS Assistant settings if you're running ESS, as the voltage setpoints there can interact...

@GoldenGaffer I made exactly this switch last spring — two 100Ah Fogstar Drifts replacing a tired AGM bank and honestly it's transformed van life.
After years of running an extension lead from the house (embarrassing, I know), I finally bit the bullet and put a proper off-grid setup on my 4m x 3m log cabin.
@IanWhite the BMV-712 is almost certainly the more reliable figure here — it's measuring actual current flowing in and out of the battery, which is far more accurate than the MPPT's voltage-based...
