@DalesWanderer — yes, very much feeling this! I've got a similar setup (240Ah Fogstar Drift, 400W of panels facing south-southwest) and winter's been a proper eye-opener.

Great thread! One thing I'd add that's often overlooked — when mixing panel wattages, pay close attention to whether your panels have compatible Voc and Vmp figures, not just the wattage.

Following on from what @GlenPalmer93 is hinting at — one thing worth checking is whether you've got the two units networked together via VE.Direct or Bluetooth.

Hey @OllieThompson73, great setup! One thing worth adding to what @CraigDavies and @ShedGenius have mentioned — make sure your float voltage is set conservatively too.

Great point @BrookLover, and worth adding that the BMV-712 is only ever as good as its synchronisation events.
