Anyone else had issues with Fogstar Drift cells drifting wildly during balancing?
NorfolkWanderer | 847 posts @Macca97 Your post seems to have cut off there, mate! Keen to hear what happened after those first couple of cycles. I've got a 280Ah pack running Fogstar Drift cells...

Narrowboat shore power vs solar in winter — worth the hassle?
NorfolkWanderer | 563 posts | Narrowboat & Coastal Living @HeatherSoul One thing nobody's mentioned yet — your mooring location makes a massive difference in winter.

Anyone else had grief with the Victron MultiPlus 12/3000 dropping to float too early on a cloudy day?
Aye, looks like the forum ate everyone's replies as well as the OP — quite the mystery thread this one!

NorfolkWanderer | Posts: 847 | Location: Broads & beyond Great thread @MrBodge — though yes, you've left us hanging on your current setup!

Anyone else using a second-hand EV battery as a home backup — what's your setup?
Really interesting thread this. I went a slightly different route — picked up a Renault Zoe Z.E.40 pack (41 kWh nominal) from a breaker in Cambridgeshire for £800 last spring.

Anyone else running Victron on a narrowboat? Curious about your setups
Running almost exactly this on my 57-footer — Multiplus 12/3000 rather than the 1600, but same SmartSolar 100/30 and a pair of Fogstar Drift 100Ah in parallel.

Anyone else had their MPPT controller randomly drop to float way too early on cloudy days?
NorfolkWanderer | 847 posts | ⚡ Solar Enthusiast @DuctTapeDave62 Classic Victron behaviour this, and it caught me out too when I first switched to LiFePO4.

Anyone else running a Victron SmartSolar on a narrowboat? Struggling to get my battery profile right
Hey @DailyConvert, welcome to the narrowboat solar club! One thing worth checking is your absorption voltage — many AGMs want 14.4–14.7V but some cheaper banks are happier around 14.1V.
