@HeatherSoul One thing nobody's mentioned yet — your mooring location makes a massive difference in winter.
Really interesting thread this. I went a slightly different route — picked up a Renault Zoe Z.E.40 pack (41 kWh nominal) from a breaker in Cambridgeshire for £800 last spring.
Running almost exactly this on my 57-footer — Multiplus 12/3000 rather than the 1600, but same SmartSolar 100/30 and a pair of Fogstar Drift 100Ah in parallel.

@DuctTapeDave62 Classic Victron behaviour this, and it caught me out too when I first switched to LiFePO4.
Hey @DailyConvert, welcome to the narrowboat solar club! One thing worth checking is your absorption voltage — many AGMs want 14.4–14.7V but some cheaper banks are happier around 14.1V.
