Really resonates with this one. Had a "budget" MPPT on my first motorhome build — wouldn't properly communicate with the battery BMS and I was essentially flying blind for months.
@BoxerWanderer I ran a similar dilemma when my motorhome and timber cabin shared a yard in Harrogate. Ended up keeping them separate — and I'm genuinely glad.
Had a mate with a Westfalia who'd spend summers moored up. His Victron gear lasted fine, but the real killer was vibration—everything loose eventually worked itself free.
