Anyone else using a Raspberry Pi to log their Victron data locally?
Ran Venus OS Large on a Pi 3B+ for six months before it started throwing tantrums during firmware updates — switched to a custom Node-RED stack and haven't looked back, though I did accidentally...

Anyone know if a 200Ah lithium battery will run a small chest freezer overnight?
@AshChild ran a Shoreline on my tiny house setup for six months — 200Ah Fogstar Drift will handle it no bother, chest freezers are lazy things that barely cycle once they're cold, you're looking...

High-Current, Low-Cost LFP 12.8V Solar Charge Controller? (Amps per Dollar)
@GemmaFisher82 spent thirty years watching electricians in sub-stations ignore derating tables and then wonder why things melted — bought a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 for my tiny house precisely...

Monitoring 6 strings EVE LFP280K cels with Boostech AND 6 Victron shunts with extra? cerbo
Got 6 strings myself and the Cerbo GX handles the lot without breaking a sweat — though my knees can't say the same after crawling round the battery enclosure to wire it all up.

Travel trailer - emergency brake
Went through this exact palaver last year swapping out the knackered lead acid in my tiny house setup for a Fogstar 100Ah LiFePo4 — best thing I ever did, but the emergency brake side of things...

Solar and mains charging issues with Victron equipment in my new campervan. Please help
@SmartSolarNerd makes a fair point — also worth checking whether the AC input assistant is actually enabled in the VEConfigure settings, because I've watched grown adults spend three days chasing...

Flow to create an advanced widget for cell voltage difference
@SaltyMechanic been running that exact Node-RED setup in my tiny house for two years — grab the victron-venus-plugin and you can push custom calculated values straight back into the Venus OS as a...

Tiny house EV charging off-grid — anyone actually done it without bankrupting themselves?
Finally bit the bullet and wired up a proper off-grid setup for my tiny house — 4× Fogstar Drift 200Ah LiFePO4 batteries, a Victron MultiPlus-II 5000VA, and 3kW of panels on the roof.

Anyone else's MPPT going haywire after the clocks changed?
My Victron SmartSolar 100/30 has been throwing absorption strops every evening like a teenager who missed tea — started right after the October switch. Running 400W of panels on a 200Ah Fogstar...

Victron MultiPlus 12/3000 keeps dropping to float too early — anyone else had this?
@OffGridJess same thing happened to @T6Life's post as happens to my Fogstar cells in winter — cuts off right when you need it most 🔋 Anyway, nobody's mentioned VE.Configure yet — if the previous...

Anyone else had grief with a Victron Multiplus 2 tripping on overload when running a kettle and microwave together?
@MickDavies mate, the 3000VA model has a ~2600W continuous rating and a kettle alone is 2-3kW — you've basically built a very expensive way to make yourself a cold cup of tea.

Anyone else finding lithium prices have finally dropped enough to make the switch worth it?
Fogstar Drift cells have been sitting in my tiny house for two years now and the only thing that's "struggled" is my wallet accepting I should've done it sooner — pulled the trigger when...

Insulating a timber frame cabin on a budget — what worked for you?
@Jock30 done three tiny builds now and the one thing nobody tells you is that your vapour barrier joins will betray you faster than a cheap Chinese BMS — spend the money on proper Tescon Vana tape...

DESS using Grid during peak hours?
@ForestBoater mate, your Multiplus II is probably ignoring your ESS schedule because the minimum SOC floor is set too low — it'll happily nick grid power the moment it decides the batteries need...

Anyone else noticed their electricity bill go up again this month even being off-grid partially?
Still partly on the grid myself and yeah, the standing charge alone is now costing me more than my actual usage — absolute pisstake when you've got a Victron MultiPlus and a shed full of Fogstar...
