Anyone had issues pairing a Victron SmartSolar with a non-Victron inverter on the same battery bank?
I've just finished putting together a fairly modest 12V system in my Transit camper — 200Ah of lithium (a Fogstar Drift 200Ah), a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 pulling off two 175W panels, and a...

Victron MultiPlus-II 48V vs 24V for EV charging – anyone made the switch?
Great thread, this. @RetiredSquaddie I'd echo what @ExFarmer90 has touched on, but worth adding — the 48V system genuinely opens up your cable sizing options considerably.

Powering my new garden office – went with a 200Ah LiFePO4 and a 400W panel, here's what I've learned so far
Good point from @SteveGreen74 about weekly load profiles — I'd extend that to seasonal patterns too.

Powering my 6x4m garden office - went solar and ditched the cable run, here's what I learned
Great stuff @JakeMartin, eight months is proper real-world testing through some decent seasonal variation too - you'll have caught the worst of the winter output dip which is where most people get...

Fogstar Drift 200Ah LiFePO4 — BMS cutting out under EV charger load, anyone else?
ShaunJohnson | 521 posts @PanelLouise yes, classic inrush current trip — the EVSE negotiates its charge rate and then throws a sudden load spike at the BMS that it interprets as a fault condition.

Anyone else running Victron Cerbo GX with non-Victron inverters — how are you handling the monitoring gaps?
ShaunJohnson | Posts: 312 @Chunk85 Good shout on the Solis — decent inverters for the money. The monitoring gap is a real frustration though.

Anyone else running a Victron MultiPlus in a shepherd's hut without grid hookup — what's your idle draw reality?
Hey @SaltyTrekker, yeah that 11W figure is very much a "best case in a lab" number in my experience.

Anyone else running a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 alongside a split-charge relay — or is it a daft idea?
So I've got a fairly standard setup in my Transit van — 200W of solar through a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30, feeding into a 100Ah AGM leisure battery. That side of things works a treat.
