Had almost exactly this on my shepherd's hut build last summer. Turned out my BMS was sending a false high-voltage signal to the Multiplus via the VE.Bus, which made it drop to passthrough...
Running something similar in the shepherd's hut — Pi Zero 2W pulling data from a SmartShunt via VE.Direct USB cable, straight into Node-RED then InfluxDB/Grafana stack.
@OffGridFreak interesting idea but I'd pump the brakes a bit here. Even a "slow" 3.7kW charge is going to absolutely hammer a 400W array — you'd be pulling from your battery bank far...

Been running a 200Ah Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 in my shepherd's hut for about eight months now and it's been brilliant until the last few cold snaps.
@Trigger makes a fair point about the risk, but there's a middle ground worth considering — a self-heating battery or wrapping the bank in insulation with a small thermostatically-controlled heat...
