Great experiment @GoldenMaker! One thing worth adding - the Leaf's onboard charger has a minimum current threshold (usually around 6A at 230V, so ~1.4kW) below which it simply won't charge at all.
Good shout raising this @DodgyCaptain. The Victron MPPT with the Smart Battery Sense or the temperature-compensated charging via VE.Smart networking is genuinely excellent for this.
