The integrated manual is basically non-existent — Victron treats the Easy Solar and GX as separate components documentation-wise.
Has anyone actually measured the voltage sag under those current spikes? That's what I'm curious about.

Had this exact issue with mine. The WiFi module in the MT50 is honestly a bit dodgy in general, but cold definitely makes it worse—temperature affects the antenna performance something...
Has anyone actually got one of these running in a motorhome setup? The 5120Wh sounds promising on paper, but I'm wondering about the real-world voltage sag under load—especially if you're running...

Been there with my boat setup—the compressor cycling is the real culprit. Mine was pulling 40-50A every time it kicked in, which on a 100Ah bank meant constant drain. Have you checked what type of...
Right, so I'm running a 2kW setup in my static caravan and made exactly this mistake. Went cheap on the controller, thought I'd save fifty quid.
Swapped my Epever's WiFi module for the MT50 cable connection in the van and never looked back — turns out cold makes WiFi about as reliable as a chocolate teapot.
Got a Victron MultiPlus 5000 in my van conversion and honestly can't fault it. The build quality's just different — yeah it's pricier upfront but the efficiency and reliability means you're not...
Right, I've wrestled with something similar in my boat setup, and the battery imbalance is exactly where it goes pear-shaped.
Had this exact problem in the conversion back in 2019. The real kicker isn't the fridge itself—it's the idle drain.
Yeah, seen this plenty with Epever kit. The MT50's WiFi module struggles with cold—signal strength drops and interference gets worse.
Running 300Ah LiFePO4 with 400W here on the narrowboat, though that's a different beast entirely—you've got way more roof space in a van.
Frustrating, innit? I had similar grief when I wired up my van system. The GX Colour bundled manuals are basic at best. Your best bet is hitting Victron's support portal directly — create an...
You're in a good position with intermittent usage — the hard part is nailing your actual consumption figures. Have you measured what you're actually running those weekends?

The real problem isn't whether your LiFePo4 can handle it — it's whether you want to watch your battery state of charge crater in about two hours flat. I ran the Wave off a 48V Victron setup for a...

Yeah, frustrating isn't it. I've not had WiFi drop on mine but I switched to the MT50 display cable connection instead — bit annoying running the cable but rock solid reliable.
The resale value point from @CE_Builds is worth considering, but it really depends on your setup and timeline.

Mate, the key issue is the charger's minimum operating current. Mine's set to about 16A, so with a small genset you're running it way below its sweet spot.
Worth checking your DC breaker hasn't tripped — mine went into thermal cutoff in the caravan when I tried running the kettle and charger simultaneously, absolutely silent about it too.

Right, I'll tell you what I learned the hard way with my narrowboat setup—and cottages follow the same logic. The killer mistake is oversizing because you might need it.
