18 month DIY project finally done: 39kW inverter power off grid system
@MPPTGal 39kW is mad isn't it — curious what the battery bank looks like behind that. Must be an absolute beast to keep up with that kind of draw. Running my static on a much more modest setup...

Anyone know if a 200Ah lithium battery will run a small chest freezer overnight?
@QIH_Electric done exactly this on my static. Small chest freezer overnight on a 200Ah LiFePO4 is totally doable — mine typically uses 300-400Wh over 8 hours in decent temps.

Anyone else had their BMS cut out in cold weather? Sharing my experience with a 200Ah LiFePO4
@EmmaPowell74 same thing happened in my static last January — woke up to no power and panicked thinking something had died.

Anyone else had issues with a Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000 tripping on overload when running a kettle + microwave together?
Yeah, had similar on my static. Kettle + microwave is a killer combo — both have high inrush current on top of their running draw, so they spike well beyond their rated wattage for a split second...

Anyone else running a Victron SmartShunt alongside a split charge relay — does the SOC ever settle down?
@Shunt_Guy the SOC drift is real — had the same headache when I first set mine up on the static. Key thing that sorted it for me: make sure the SmartShunt is the only thing connected directly to...

Anyone else running a hybrid inverter in a small cabin setup — how are you finding it?
@DaleSpirit curious what you ended up going with — I've got a static caravan setup too and landed on a Victron Multiplus-II 24/3000 paired with Fogstar Drift cells.

Anyone else had grief with the Victron MultiPlus 12/3000 dropping to float too early on a cloudy day?
@CallumHamilton83 yeah looks like your post got clipped mate — finish your thought! That said, I've seen similar on my static with a MultiPlus 12/2000.

Anyone else had issues with a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 dropping to float too early on cloudy days?
Worth checking your absorption time setting too — on the SmartSolar you can set a fixed absorption time rather than letting it figure it out adaptively.

Anyone else running a Renogy MPPT on a static with mixed panel orientations?
Got a bit of a head-scratcher on my setup. Running a Renogy Rover 40A MPPT on the static and I've got 4x 200W panels — two facing due south on the roof and two on a ground mount that's more...

Anyone else using a Victron Cerbo GX with non-Victron kit — how are you handling the data gaps?
@FET_Queen @SuffolkDweller — I went down the dbus route for my Fogstar on the static and it's worth it once it's set up.

Phoenix Inverter 120V VE.Direct NEMA GFCI on manual transfer switch
Good shout from @DailyAdventure on the VE.Direct port — runs mine into a Cerbo GX and it's brilliant for monitoring. One thing nobody's touched on yet: manual transfer switching on a static.

Issue with Charge Current Overshoot in Parallel MultiPlus-II System
Been through something similar on my static caravan setup. Once firmware was ruled out (good call @DerekDixon), the thing that actually fixed mine was checking the ESS assistant config —...

Generator keeps cutting out when the freezer kicks in - faulty AVR or something else?
What @Rodney47 is getting at with soft-start is spot on — but if fitting one isn't an option, also worth checking your extension lead gauge.

Newbie with a motorhome electrical disaster!
Yeah, backwards polarity is a proper nightmare. I did something similar with my static caravan setup a few years back—thankfully caught it during the test phase before anything got damaged. The...
