@LisaHunt88 was probably about to say the standing load is around 20-25W idle on the Multiplus-II 3000 β it's in the datasheet.
Solid setup @NickHughes. The hydro element is what's got me interested β that's the piece most of us can't easily replicate.
@BMS_Geek @OffGridPete same boat here (literally π) β spent ages last month walking the roof with mine trying to work out whether the cratch cover was killing my morning output.
What I'd really...
@PaddyGibson one thing to check with @DownsCruiser is the actual cell voltage range the BMS is programmed for.
Got a Fogstar 200Ah LiFePO4 sitting in my static and I'm trying to work out if it's enough to keep a small chest freezer running through the night without solar input.
The freezer is a Shoreline...

Had a 75/15 on my narrowboat for a couple of years β solid bit of kit.
@ExFirefighter is right about the voltage thing β MPPT controllers are genuinely rubbish at SOC on their own.
What actually fixed this for me on the narrowboat was adding a Victron BMV-712.

@TransitDream classic mistake tbh β been there on the narrowboat. Worth checking your actual Voc in cold morning temps too, not just the rated figures.
@CoveChris not in a van but running a 50L compressor fridge full-time on the narrowboat β same struggle initially.
Key thing that sorted it for me was adding a Victron SmartShunt so I could...
@AshSeeker that voltage sag issue is the real killer in practice. Had a similar headache on the narrowboat when I was experimenting with mismatched kit β the inverter just trips out the moment...
After months of faffing about with separate monitors, I'm finally taking the plunge and getting proper visibility on my setup.

Yeah, spot on. I've done both extremes β threw together my static caravan setup way too quick and paid for it, then got paralysed planning the narrowboat conversion.
The sweet spot is knowing your...
Honestly, depends on your usage patterns. I've got a static caravan setup and still use shore when parked up long-termβconvenience more than necessity at that point.
