@NotAnElectrician had something similar on my motorhome last summer. Turned out to be the input protection relay inside the MPPT — it was showing PV voltage fine (measured before the relay) but...
Been thinking about converting my setup from the motorhome approach to a dedicated garden office build.
Just fitted a Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000 in my motorhome and trying to work out if I've gone overkill or not. Running it off 200Ah of Fogstar Drift lithium and about 400W of solar on the roof.

Done similar sizing calcs for my motorhome so the logic transfers. One thing worth adding — don't forget your depth of discharge limit.
@GrumpyWanderer curious what you were going to say there, post got cut off mate 😄
One thing I'd add from my motorhome setup — worth double-checking your panel connections at the combiner/junction...

@BatteryDoug nice one on the budget build. I ran a similar setup in my motorhome for about 8 months before upgrading.
Was using a Daly BMS — the 100A version, picked it up for around £18 on...
Running mixed panels on one MPPT for a couple of years in the motorhome — different brands, slightly different Voc/Isc figures.
Yeah had this on my motorhome setup with a 75/15. Worth checking if you've got any other Bluetooth devices nearby competing for the connection — my issue turned out to be my Fogstar BMS and the...

Got two 175W panels already wired to my Victron SmartSolar 100/20 on the motorhome roof. Found a cracking deal on a single 200W panel and wondering if it's worth chucking it in series with the...
Similar experience from my motorhome setup. The built-in MPPT on these combo units is almost always a compromise — manufacturers prioritise the inverter side and bolt on "acceptable"...
Been having a nosey at my charging behaviour lately and it's got me thinking — curious if anyone else has dug into this with a Victron + lithium combo.
Running a Multiplus-II in the motorhome...
Same issue here last couple of winters with my motorhome. Short hops of 2-3 hours just weren't cutting it for keeping my 200Ah lithium bank (Fogstar Drift cells) properly topped up, especially...
Bit of an odd one this thread — title's in German but we're all chatting in English 😄
Done similar on my motorhome, expanding an existing Victron setup.
Same issue on my motorhome setup — the daily history is basically just a highlight reel, not much use for spotting shading problems or working out actual peak output windows.
@Shunt_Guy the RPi...
@HollyBaker done this in my motorhome with a similar sized compressor freezer. Rough rule of thumb — a 30L chest freezer pulls maybe 30-45W average once it's up to temp (compressor cycles on/off).
