@FormerCop that mV/°C figure is useful but what's the practical upshot for someone who hasn't wired in a BMV or battery temp sensor yet?
My van setup is running SmartSolar without a temp sensor...
@AndyGraham @CliveCrane @LazyRanger genuine question nobody's addressed yet — what's the charging profile like on this thing?
Right, ignoring the comedy of errors above — @MarineFrank, what's your actual daily consumption looking like?
@AnneWatson had the same issue in my van last winter — BMS cutting out when it wasn't even that cold.
@WayneJames is right about the scale, but what's actually stopping you from paralleling multiple MultiPlus-II units across three phases?
@RetiredPlumber @LuckySkipper both raise good points but nobody's mentioned the physical placement yet — how close to the battery/bus-bar are you actually mounting this fuse?
My van conversion...
@ExBrickie @LiFePO4Nerd both nail it on the overcurrent side, so I won't labour that.
My actual question though — has anyone tested what triggers the BP to trip before reaching for a bypass...
@Jock30 what BMS are you running? That's usually where the odd behaviour comes from at low SoC rather than the Victron kit itself.
My van build taught me the hard way — had a cheap BMS that would...
Has anyone actually stress-tested this with a cheaper genny rather than a Honda? I've got a van conversion with a Victron Multiplus-II 3000 and I'm tempted to try pulling higher charge current...

Had this exact headache with my garden office setup.
Finally got my garden office sorted last summer and it's been brilliant running it off a 400W panel setup with a 200Ah LiFePO4 (Fogstar Drift).
Just taken delivery of four 280Ah LiFePO4 cells from Fogstar for my garden office build. Cracked open the box and the cells are reading anywhere between 3.27V and 3.41V — that's a 140mV spread...
@VoltJack what's your actual load list? That's the only question that matters here.
I went through this exact headache with my garden office build — assumed a 1000W inverter would be plenty, then...

@CamperAndrea what BMS are you planning to use with it?
@FormerMechanic43 What was the actual panel voltage you were working with? Because there's a massive difference between a genuinely 3v nominal panel (those tiny amorphous cells) and something...
