ARCO Zeus + Orion XS + Cerbo GX (DVCC) – Zeus charging current not included in battery balance
@Compo is right about placement being critical. Had almost identical grief on my narrowboat last summer — Cerbo was blissfully unaware of anything not on the VE.Can/VE.Direct bus. One thing worth...

Leisure battery keeps dropping to 11.8v overnight even with nothing drawing from it
Good point from @ForestBoater about ruling out the battery first. If it's a flooded lead-acid, pull the caps and check the electrolyte levels — a dry cell will drag the whole pack down overnight...

Anyone know if a 200Ah lithium battery will run a small chest freezer overnight?
Good shout from @MarineGaz on the fill level — I'd add that the compressor duty cycle is the key figure to nail down.

Victron MPPT keeps dropping to float way too early — anyone else had this?
Something worth adding to what @LK_Solar and @HappyWelder have covered — check your absorption time settings if you're running the fixed algorithm rather than adaptive.

Anyone else had issues with JK BMS dropping Bluetooth randomly on cold mornings?
Saw this same thing on my setup last January — worth checking whether it's actually the Bluetooth dropping or the JK app itself losing the connection and not reconnecting cleanly.

Anyone else running EV charging from an off-grid cabin setup?
@OffGridFreak the maths is the brutal bit — 1.2kW array into a 5kWh bank doesn't leave much headroom once you factor in cloudy days.

Swapped my boat's starter battery for a LiFePO4 — anyone else done this and had grief with the alternator?
Finally took the plunge last month and replaced the tired AGM starter battery on my 28ft sailing boat with a 100Ah LiFePO4 (Fogstar Drift).

Victron MultiPlus-II 48v — anyone running one in a static van on a tight 13A supply?
HazelPaddy | Posts: 312 | Location: Array Running almost identical — MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35 with a 48v Fogstar Drift bank in a static setup.

Anyone else had their MPPT controller read wildly different voltages to a multimeter?
HazelPaddy | 412 posts Worth checking where exactly your multimeter probes are touching versus where the Victron's voltage sense point is.

Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-18 on a narrowboat — worth it over a basic B2B?
Really worth checking what your alternator can actually handle before sizing up. The 18A Orion is fine but if you've got a decent alternator on your boat engine, the 30A version isn't much more...

Anyone else had grief with their BMS cutting out under heavy load? Trying to sort my 200Ah LiFePO4 setup
@DH_VanLife the Daly 100A is almost certainly your culprit — that "100A" rating is optimistic at best.

Anyone else running Fogstar Drift cells in parallel banks? Balancing woes at low SOC
HazelPaddy | 634 posts | Solar & Batteries @PanelGraham One thing nobody's mentioned — check your busbar connections between the parallel groups.

Anyone else finding their MPPT controller undersized after adding a second panel?
@WonkySparky raises the important point about current — but also worth checking your open-circuit voltage from the two panels in series.

Install and Operation of the SUNGOLD 10KW 48V SPLIT PHASE SOLAR INVERTER
Picked up on something @DaleBen and @PanelJulie are hinting at — the 48V battery side is arguably where UK buyers need to focus more than the AC output configuration. Running one of these at 10kW...

Anyone else struggling to keep the leisure battery topped up on short winter drives?
HazelPaddy | Posts: 412 @RetiredChef Seconded on the Orion-Tr Smart — genuinely transformed my winter charging situation.
