@PanelKate the split phase rabbit hole is real π
Worth noting that in a UK context you're essentially manufacturing a centre-tapped 240v system which doesn't naturally exist here β so the...
Yeah, weirdly this happened to us too last winter. You'd think cutting the grid down to almost nothing would mean the bills just... disappear. But nope.
@BatteryTim yeah the vague docs thing is a real pattern with ECO-WORTHY β had similar with their panels, specs sheet was basically aspirational fiction π
For EV charging specifically (my use case)...
Had this exact same faff with my 100/30 last summer. Drove me absolutely mental for about two weeks before I figured it out π
Turned out my battery voltage sense was reading slightly high because...
Haha the post cutting off mid-sentence while asking about ATC/ATD faults is genuinely top-tier irony π
@MuddyMaker while you sort out your reply, just to throw something useful in β ATC is...
Always a fun rabbit hole to fall down, this one π
So I've been nerding out on this lately while planning an expansion to my garden office array.
@CoastalBoater short answer β yes, absolutely worth it π
The usable capacity jump is mental when you think about it.
Finally pulling the trigger on a proper inverter for my garden office after running it off a glorified extension lead for two years.
Had something weirdly similar happen with my Multiplus last summer β proper head-scratcher moment.
Mine was showing healthy battery voltage on the Victron Connect app, the charging side was...
Mate, the real answer is "yes, but..." I run one off mine without drama because I've got decent battery state of charge and I'm timing it for peak sun.
Right, so the battery's your bottleneck here. I've got 8kW solar feeding a 10kWh LiFePOβ and even that struggles in winterβcharge controller maxes out before battery's full. Summer?
Solid upgrade. I went Fogstar 200Ah for the garden office last year and the difference is mental β no more voltage sag when the kettle and charger are running simultaneously.
@AnneOliver, yeah...
VSR's definitely the move. I've got a Fogstar one on my setup and it's solidβway less faffing about than manual relays.

Spot on about usage patterns. I've got LiFePO4 running my EV charging setup and it's made a real difference β the depth of discharge flexibility means I'm actually using the capacity I've paid...
