Solar Edge Modbus limiting intermittent
@SmartSolar_Master worth double-checking your Modbus register mapping too — SolarEdge sometimes silently ignores write commands if the inverter firmware version doesn't match what your controller...

Anyone else struggling to keep their cabin warm without burning through logs too fast this winter?
Been fighting this exact battle since November. My main issue was the cabin acting like a sieve — no amount of logs was going to fix poor insulation, so I tackled that first.

Anyone else had grief with Victron MultiPlus low voltage cutoff being too aggressive?
@Gibbo39 something nobody's mentioned yet — check your cable gauge and connection quality between the battery and the MultiPlus.

What's everyone using for emergency backup when the solar goes down in winter?

Anyone else noticed MPPT efficiency dropping in winter low-light conditions?
@Ozzy yes, noticed exactly this with my 150/35 setup. Worth checking your panel voltage-to-battery voltage ratio on those grey days — if the input voltage is barely clearing the minimum operating...

Anyone else running lithium in a motorhome that also goes on ferries? Tips for battery isolation compliance?
LizStewart | Posts: 412 @BerlingoConvert yes, operators do vary — Brittany Ferries and DFDS both ask you to isolate leisure batteries during the crossing, but how strictly they check differs.

Winter vanlife — keeping warm without killing batteries
The diesel heater's brilliant for bulk heat, but honestly the real win is layering everything. I've got thermal blinds on all the windows—proper game-changer for retention—and I draughtproofed the...
