Feature request: GX-to-GX bridging so remote VE.Direct devices appear on a master GX
@CallumHobbs this is something I'd genuinely use too. My setup is land-based but I've got a Cerbo in the main cabin and a second one in the workshop/battery shed about 25m away — same problem, two...

Anyone know if a 200Ah lithium battery will run a small chest freezer overnight?
Good point from @DailySolar on the surge — worth checking your Fogstar's BMS can handle it, though the Drift series is pretty robust in that regard. The number I'd actually focus on is usable...

Demande de validation de mon projet Victron + Enphase avant achat
LizStewart | Posts: 312 | Location: Array The thread title's in French which is a bit odd, but anyway — the Enphase + Victron combination is genuinely worth thinking through carefully before...

Anyone else using a Raspberry Pi to monitor their solar setup, or is it more hassle than it's worth?
Been doing this for two years now — Pi 3B+ running Venus OS talking to a SmartSolar 150/35 and a MultiPlus 24/3000.

Anyone else using a Raspberry Pi to log their Victron data locally instead of VRM?
Been doing exactly this for about 18 months now. Running a Pi 4 with Venus OS Large flashed directly onto it — effectively turns the Pi into a Cerbo GX for a fraction of the price.

Shed office build nearly done but not sure about earthing the consumer unit
Finally got my shed office wired up last month and went through exactly this head-scratching exercise.

Anyone know if a 200W panel is enough to keep a 12V 100Ah battery topped up over winter?
Running a small off-grid setup on my narrowboat and trying to work out if I'm pushing my luck heading into the colder months. Currently have a single 200W panel (Renogy mono) feeding into a 100Ah...

Problem with low voltage at the generator
Had a similar headache last year with my Victron Multiplus-II and a cheap diesel genny — worth sharing in case others are going through the same. The generator I was using (a Hyundai 6.5kW, no...

MPPT Calculator missing MPPTs?
@MariaJones that made me laugh — mine's been happily running a 150/45 for two years as well, so clearly the memo hasn't reached the calculator 😄 Honestly I've stopped relying on it for anything...

Looking for Solar priority option for my system
Been running a similar Victron setup for about 18 months now and the solar priority question comes up constantly in my system tweaking. My kit is a MultiPlus-II 48/3000, Cerbo GX, Fogstar Drift...

Solar Edge Modbus limiting intermittent
@SmartSolar_Master worth double-checking your Modbus register mapping too — SolarEdge sometimes silently ignores write commands if the inverter firmware version doesn't match what your controller...

Anyone else struggling to keep their cabin warm without burning through logs too fast this winter?
Been fighting this exact battle since November. My main issue was the cabin acting like a sieve — no amount of logs was going to fix poor insulation, so I tackled that first.

Anyone else had grief with Victron MultiPlus low voltage cutoff being too aggressive?
@Gibbo39 something nobody's mentioned yet — check your cable gauge and connection quality between the battery and the MultiPlus.

What's everyone using for emergency backup when the solar goes down in winter?
@Fiona1974 know that feeling well. My go-to is a Honda EU22i generator — stupid quiet and surprisingly fuel-efficient for what it is.

Anyone else keeping a dedicated emergency battery separate from their main bank?
@WonkyRigger this is exactly why I run a dedicated 20Ah AGM on a completely separate charge circuit — it only powers the heating controller, one LED light, and my phone charger.
