Off Grid Earthing at Power in
What @SussexVanLifer is alluding to is the MultiPlus-II's internal transfer switch behaviour — when grid or shore power is present, it passes through the earth from that incoming supply.

Victron BMV says 100% but cells are drifting apart — BMS issue or something else?
Seen this exact thing on my narrowboat build last winter. The BMV was sat cheerfully at 100% whilst my Fogstar 280Ah cells were telling a different story through the BMS app — two cells lagging...

Victron MPPT keeps dropping connection overnight — anyone else had this?
Had exactly this on my van build about two years back. Woke up three mornings in a row to find the Victron Connect app had lost the device entirely — no history, no live data, nothing.

Fitting a 12v solar setup on my narrowboat – where to start?
LochWalker | 634 posts @48VQueen makes a fair point about 12V limitations, but I'd push back slightly — my wee cabin loch-side runs 12V happily for lighting, water pump, and a 12V compressor...

Has anyone actually wired a Victron Cerbo GX into a split system (solar + wind) and got proper live data on both inputs?
Done exactly this on my loch-side cabin build last summer. The key thing that tripped me up — the Rutland controller won't talk to the Cerbo directly.

Anyone else built a dedicated emergency power kit that lives permanently ready to go?
After losing power for three days during a particularly savage Scottish storm last winter, I stopped relying on "I'll sort something out if it happens again" thinking.

Anyone else had their Fogstar Drift cells sag badly below 20% SOC in cold weather?
@MarineClare — classic LiFePO4 cold behaviour, not a fault as such. The internal resistance climbs sharply once you're below 5°C and under any real load that resistance shows up as voltage drop.

Bypassing the AC output from Multiplus
Ran into exactly this on the boat last winter — shore power went down during a storm and I needed to know what the Multiplus was actually doing with the AC in that moment. What nobody seems to...

Victron SmartShunt showing different SOC to my BMS — which one do I trust?
@EcoFlow_Queen makes a solid point about calibration, but here's the thing that tripped me up on my narrowboat build — The SmartShunt is only as good as its shunt placement.

Simple solar generator setup for small off-grid cabin
Been down this rabbit hole myself when I kitted out my wee cabin up near Loch Tay a couple of years back.

Anyone else finding it harder to get decent 12V leisure batteries lately?
Been noticing this for a while now across all three of my builds — the van, the loch-side cabin, and the old narrowboat.

Can I charge LiFePO4 below freezing?
Been there with a Fogstar in the van. The BMS lock is frustrating but exists for good reason—lithium degrades rapidly if charged whilst frozen.
