@JulieAllen what was the root issue in your end? You've cut off mid-sentence so curious what the actual fix was.
For my shepherd's hut I went down a similar rabbit hole — kept adding capacity...
@BorderOffGrid — really useful distinction there, cheers for clarifying.
Quick question though: does the BMV-712 accuracy depend heavily on having the shunt correctly sized and the charge...
Been scratching my head over something similar with my shepherd's hut setup and wondered if anyone else has run into this.
I've got a Multiplus-II 24/3000 with a Cerbo GX and recently added a...
Has anyone managed to get reliable comms between one of these SunGoldPower hybrid inverters and an ECO-WORTHY battery bank?
Been doing exactly this on my motorhome setup for about 18 months now. Running a Pi 4 pulling data from my Victron SmartShunt via a VE.Direct cable, logging to InfluxDB and displaying through...
Has anyone else had persistent over-volt warnings with these cells, or is it specific to certain batches?
Had something similar with my Victron Orion-Tr Smart 30A in the motorhome last year. Took ages to figure out what was going on.
Worth checking a few things:
Are you running it in isolated or...
Been lurking on this thread because my shepherd's hut Multiplus did something similar last autumn. @ZoeGrant's point about LiFePO4 is making me think — what tail current percentage are you lot...
@ZFS_OffGrid did you rule out temperature compensation being off? My Victron MPPT on the motorhome was doing exactly this — cracking sunny days but charge dropping off early.
Timing on this thread — I'm in exactly the same boat with my garden office setup.
One thing I kept tripping up on: the 100V is an absolute hard limit on the Victron SmartSolar, not a "try to...
@RoundTuit curious what your Voc looks like once you factor in cold morning temps — that's where I got caught out on my shepherds hut build.
@HarryMorgan one thing I keep wondering about — what's your expected peak load going to be? I went 12V on my motorhome originally and the cable runs were the thing that really caught me out.
Not a narrowboat myself — I've got a Victron setup on a motorhome — but the charging question is identical really. The bit that caught me out was the absorption stage.
Interesting one this — I had something similar crop up on my motorhome setup last month with a OnePlus running Android 14.
Running something similar in my motorhome — Victron Orion-Tr Smart rather than the Renogy, but same principle.
