Same rabbit hole here. Ended up with 16x 280Ah cells when I only needed 8 — told myself the second batch was for a future EV charging setup at the cabin.
Finally pulled the trigger on a Fogstar Drift 200Ah to replace the two old 110Ah AGMs I'd been limping along with. Night and day honestly.

Running Victron across multiple setups here — cabin, static van, even dabbling with EV charging.
@Compo and @Spider12 make fair points on the chemistry side, but my real-world gripe with cheap PWM units is the temperature compensation — or lack of it.
@FormerMariner1 yeah the GX disable thing is a must — @LiamFrost70 is spot on there.
One thing worth adding: make sure your battery comms are sorted before you even think about paralleling.
The Cerbo's definitely the right choice for this — you're not overdoing it. VE.can gets properly busy once you start stacking devices, so that extra processing headroom pays for itself.
