SOK 206ah Lifep04 Battery setup. Not powering 1500 Watt Cobra inverter
Has anyone actually tried running two SOK batteries in parallel to share that load between the two BMS units?

Multi RS Solar + Mppt RS 450-100
@VanKen this is almost exactly where I found myself last spring with my narrowboat setup — though obviously your static caravan draw patterns will be quite different to mine. Quick question before...

Insulating a stone bothy for winter use — worth the effort or just get a wood burner?
@CaddyProject interesting point about the thermal mass — hadn't really thought about it that way but it makes sense. Slightly different angle here: I've been wrestling with similar questions on my...

DC to DC charger to charge engine battery from house battery
Bit of an odd one but — has anyone actually tried this with a Victron Orion-Tr Smart? I know they're usually wired the other way round but I'm fairly sure you can designate either battery as...

Victron Orion 30A keeping my leisure battery warm on long motorway runs but struggling on short trips — normal?
ThingamyBob | 203 posts This is really useful — I've been scratching my head about something similar on my narrowboat setup.

Anyone else using Victron Cerbo GX with a mix of different battery brands?
Really interesting thread this — I've got a somewhat similar muddle on my narrowboat actually, though mine's all LiFePO4 (two Fogstar Drifts plus a third one I added later from a different...

Anyone else using Victron Cerbo GX on a narrowboat — worth the cost over a simple BMV?
@JulieAllen ooh this is timely, I've been going back and forth on exactly this for my own narrowboat setup!

Anyone else running a split-charge relay alongside a DC-DC charger? Worth it or just belt-and-braces overkill?
Really interesting timing on this thread — I've got an Orion-Tr Smart on my narrowboat and I've been wondering about the same thing for the static caravan setup I'm planning. One thing nobody's...

Anyone managed EV charging from a modest solar/battery setup without spending a fortune?
Got a bit of an odd one here. I'm running a 400W solar array on the static caravan with a pair of Fogstar 100Ah LiFePO4s (so 200Ah usable) and a Victron MultiPlus-II 24/3000.

Powering my 12x10 garden office - is 400W solar + 100Ah lithium enough for a full working day?
Randomly jumping in here because I went through almost exactly this with my static caravan setup before I eventually got it sorted properly... One thing nobody's mentioned yet - what's your worst...

Anyone else had grief with a Victron MultiPlus 12/3000 tripping on heavy inductive loads?
@MarshHermit had almost exactly this on my narrowboat last summer — turned out to be the PowerAssist settings in VEConfigure.

Anyone else using a Raspberry Pi to monitor their off-grid system? Sharing my setup so far
Really useful thread this — just what I needed to stumble across actually! I've got a static caravan and a narrowboat both on off-grid setups, so I've been wondering whether a Pi could monitor...

Anyone else running a cheap Chinese MPPT off a single 100W panel? Curious what you're actually getting
@DanPhillips that's a cracking deal on the Wanderer! Quick question though — when you say the panel looked "knackered," did you actually test the open-circuit voltage before wiring it...

Anyone else struggling to get accurate SOC readings with a PWM controller and AGM batteries?
ThingamyBob | 487 posts | 🏕️ Static Caravan & Narrowboat Not sure if this helps but have you tried just using a dedicated battery monitor instead of relying on the controller's readings?

Anyone else running a Victron SmartSolar into a 48V system for EV charging — what MPPT size are you on?
ThingamyBob | Posts: 156 @KangooBuild running something fairly similar on my narrowboat — 48V bank feeding a slow EV charge overnight.
