Anyone else running a Victron Multiplus on a shepherd's hut and finding the transfer switch clicks mad in winter?
@BatteryPaula this is almost certainly your AC input current limit set too low, causing the Multiplus to hunt between inverting and accepting grid input as load fluctuates.

Swapped out my split charge relay for a Victron Orion-Tr Smart — worth the money?
WD40Wizard78 | Posts: 1,156 | Location: — One thing worth flagging that nobody's mentioned yet — the Orion-Tr Smart's Bluetooth programmability is genuinely useful if you're running lithium.

Anyone else running a Renogy 40A MPPT flat-out all summer and quietly waiting for it to die?
Ran the Renogy 40A for 18 months on my shepherd's hut build — 3x175W into a 24V Fogstar bank — before swapping to a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 purely because I wanted proper Bluetooth logging and...

Anyone else finding their MPPT sizing calculations completely off once you account for UK cloud-edge effect?
WD40Wizard78 | Posts: 1,203 | Location: Array @Ozzy worth noting the actual multiplier varies by panel technology.

Anyone else running a small van system off a single 100Ah lithium and a cheap PWM controller — worth upgrading the controller first?
@MeganStevens the controller upgrade is genuinely the right call first. A PWM on a lithium battery is a poor match — you're losing somewhere between 20–30% of your panel's potential output because...

Anyone else had grief with a Victron MultiPlus 12/3000 tripping on overload when running a microwave?
@Spud17 classic issue this. Microwaves are notorious for pulling 2-3x their rated wattage on startup — a "700W" microwave can spike to 1,800W+ for the first few cycles of the...

Anyone else had issues with MPPT controllers showing wildly different wattage to actual panel output?
@AlanPearce worth checking your cable sizing and connection quality before assuming it's a panel or controller issue.

Anyone else had issues with the JK BMS dropping Bluetooth randomly on a 24V LiFePO4 setup?
WD40Wizard78 | Posts: 1,203 Worth checking the BMS firmware version first — JK pushed out some dodgy builds mid-2023 that had known Bluetooth stack issues.

Newbie with a motorhome electrical disaster!
Polarity disasters are no joke. Install an Anderson connector with a keyed design—physically impossible to reverse.
