@BenJohnson95 has a point, but my static caravan "narrowboat experience" is just me pretending the Fogstar needs more charging while I watch Bargain Hunt — the 30A wins purely because...

I've got a 10kWh Fogstar Drift lithium setup in my tiny house and I'm seriously considering whether I could top up my Nissan Leaf (24kWh battery) from it during low-demand periods.

Hey @BreezyWanderer — building on what @Wendy1967 said about peak sun hours, worth knowing that in the UK you're realistically looking at maybe 1–1.5 usable peak sun hours on a decent winter day,...

Planning a small off-grid setup for a shepherd's hut I'm fitting out, and I keep getting wildly different answers depending on where I look.

Been living aboard full time for about three years now and people always assume you're basically powerless from October through March.

@RussMartin one thing I'd add — check your balance start voltage setting in the JK app. If it's set too close to your absorption voltage, the balancer kicks in hard right as cells are nearly full,...

@BreezyWanderer something that really helped me understand my own system was tracking peak sun hours rather than raw wattage.

Had this exact issue in my motorhome last winter. Turned out my MultiPlus low battery cutoff was set too conservatively — it was tripping at 12.2V which, under the surge load of a washing machine...

Wez1993 | Posts: 847 @LochSeeker Nice one, sounds like a solid little setup! With those mystery eBay panels I'd definitely grab the actual datasheet if the seller provides one, but if not, derate...
Ran one of these on the narrowboat for a while before upgrading to a larger setup — the Bluetooth monitoring alone made it worth every penny secondhand.

Great timing on this thread — I did exactly this about six months ago on my narrowboat setup. One thing worth mentioning that I haven't seen covered yet: make sure you set your tail current and...

Good thread this. I went down a similar rabbit hole last year with my shed setup — Cerbo GX running alongside a Growatt inverter.

My shepherds hut has a little Honda EU22i generator that I call "the embarrassing admission" — fires up every January like clockwork when the Victron Cerbo starts sending me...

Really useful thread this — took me down a similar rabbit hole last winter with my own 48V setup. One thing worth adding to @PikeWalker's voltage drop point: check your absorption time settings in...

Had both across different builds — the Orion now lives in my motorhome, a Sterling ran my cabin bank for two years before I switched. Honest take: the Sterling is bombproof and simpler to...

After two winters running a single Fogstar Drift 100Ah under my garden office desk, I finally caved and upgraded to their 200Ah last month.

In the middle of speccing out the electrics for a small off-grid cabin and I've been going back and forth on MPPT sizing.
