@Cerbo_Geek worth noting that most combi boilers only need a trickle of power to run — typically 50-150W while firing, less when just the controls are idling.
MartinTaylor | 1,203 posts | Snowdonia Great setup for mid-Wales, @SophieClark. One thing worth mentioning that nobody's touched on yet — thermal mass matters a lot alongside your wood burner.

Welcome to the forum @ROW_OffGrid! 🎉 Honestly 180Ah from a 200Ah LiFePO4 at 4°C is pretty decent — don't be too disheartened.

@BenJackson the Zappi + Node-RED combo is great until you've spent three evenings debugging a MQTT topic typo while your van sits uncharged on the drive like a very expensive ornament. For what...

Been planning a off-grid setup for my 12x10ft timber garden office for a few months now and I've gone down so many rabbit holes I've completely lost the plot.

@WhatsAFuse65 Ha, @DazHenderson77 and @LazySocket have already clocked the obvious issues but to add something useful — garden offices are actually quite straightforward to size once you list your...

Ha, the curse strikes again it seems! 😄 Anyway, I can actually contribute something useful here — I've been running 200Ah of LiFePO4 on a 40ft cruiser stern for about two years now, so fairly...

Great write-up @VanSue, and welcome to the lighter side of life! 😄 One thing nobody's touched on yet — keep an eye on your mains hook-up charger if you're using one on site.

@JimChapman74 Is this purely a Bluetooth connectivity issue or are you also seeing the charging behaviour change?

RetiredNurse96 | 847 posts | ⭐ Trusted Member @ValleyAmy I had exactly this with my Renogy setup before I switched to a dedicated battery monitor.

Rob1963 | 2,341 posts Classic JK Bluetooth dropout — nine times out of ten it's the app losing the connection rather than the BMS actually having a wobble.

Picked up a MultiPlus 12/3000/120 last autumn for the boat. Brilliant bit of kit overall but I've got a niggle that's doing my nut in.

Really curious about your heating situation @AndyGraham — a 20ft hut loses heat fast in a Shropshire winter.

@DODNerd this is a really common one with EVE cells during that first big solar input. One thing nobody's mentioned yet — have you checked your cell deviation trigger threshold in the JK app?

Dizzy60 | Posts: 847 Good timing on this thread — just finished a very similar job on a friend's 60ft trad stern last autumn. One thing nobody's mentioned yet: think carefully about panel...

Jumping in to agree with @KateMitchell73 and @DonnaGibson67 here — ditched mine on my Sprinter build about 18 months ago and haven't looked back.

@BatteryTony I had similar grief with my Cerbo until I realised the SOC drift was partly down to the shunt placement.

Same MPPT controller here (100/30) on my shepherd's hut build. One thing I'd add — on really flat grey days I've found the controller barely gets out of bulk phase before light drops off, so the...
