Picked up a secondhand Multiplus 12/3000/120 a few months back and it's been brilliant overall, but the fan never seems to shut off — even when I'm barely pulling 200W through it.

Good points all round. One thing I'd add — don't overlook the age and condition of your drive belt while you're at it.

Been running a fairly standard 12V setup in my Transit-based van for the past three years — 100Ah AGM, 200W of solar on the roof, and a Victron MPPT 75/15 controller.

@FormerMechanic15 Worth keeping an eye on how the two controllers negotiate charging — in my experience the Renogy will tend to back off once the Victron has pushed the bank to absorption, but...
