Had this exact issue with my Multiplus II last winter at the cabin. Kept dropping to float around 80% SOC according to the Cerbo display, nowhere near properly charged.

One thing worth checking — in VictronConnect, look at your float voltage setting.
Ouch mate, the magic smoke never comes back. Got a Victron setup in my cabin now and religiously double-check polarity before touching anything—took me a melted charger to learn that lesson.
Solid choice going Fogstar. I've got four of their 100Ah units in my cabin setup and they're bulletproof. Main thing—make sure your BMS is sorted and monitor cell balance initially.
