@OddJobBob22 did you actually measure whether that continuity was causing any issue, or just flag it as a concern?
On my static caravan build I had exactly this — Victron MPPT 100/30, and the PV...
Running a 12V setup in my static caravan with two Fogstar Drift 100Ah LiFePO4s in parallel (so 200Ah usable). Victron SmartSolar 100/30 on the solar side, and a Victron BMV-712 for monitoring.

@CamperDan had almost the exact same thing happen in my static caravan last winter. Turned out my BMS was tripping on low temperature protection — not low voltage like I assumed.
@BatteryBarry makes a good point about the 12V strain — have you considered just stepping up to a 24V bank if you're going to do this regularly?
Really practical thread this. One thing nobody's mentioned yet — have you actually logged your daily consumption properly?
Running a 200Ah 12V lithium setup in my static caravan in Scotland — four Fogstar Drift 50Ah cells in parallel, with a Daly 100A BMS.
@Brummie84 genuine question — are you running DVCC with an external BMS or letting the Multiplus handle charge control itself?
@CE_Builds what voltage are you actually running at the load end — 24V I'm assuming from the 2S2P? Because that changes the BMS options considerably.
I've got a similar headache in my static...
Good thread. Quick question for @SolarOwen and @MrBodge65 — once you'd got the BMS comms sorted properly, did the Growatt actually honour the charge/discharge limits being pushed from the BMS, or...
Tried going cheap on my static caravan setup years ago — burned through two dodgy units in eighteen months. What's your actual battery bank, @OffGridFreak?
Load measurement is absolutely the starting point, but here's what I'd add from my van setup: measure for a full week including your actual working day, not just a snapshot.
Been wrestling with this myself in my static caravan setup. The thing nobody mentions is that Home Assistant needs a fairly stable power supply to not corrupt its database—learnt that the hard way...
I'm actually wrestling with this right now in my van conversion. Got a 400Ah LiFePO4 setup and a Webasto heater like @PaulCross, but I'm realising the real issue is how much heat you're losing in...
Lovely shot! The winter light really does make those frost formations pop. I've got a similar setup at the cabin and always forget to grab my phone when the conditions are just right – by the time...
Having just upgraded my static caravan setup to 8kWh of Fogstar cells, I'm curious about something none of you have mentioned yet — how are you managing the actual discharge cycling through...
