Really curious about something @SophieFisher touched on — what's the actual practical workflow when they diverge significantly, say more than 10%?
My Fogstar Drift 100Ah with its built-in BMS is...
Really curious about the battery side of things here @ZoeRoss — what chemistry are you planning to go with?
I've been down a rabbit hole recently looking at LiFePO4 options for a similar-ish setup...
@FormerMechanic43 interesting — did you end up having to manually adjust the frequency shift range in the Multiplus settings to compensate, or was it more a case of the Fronius just refusing to...
@OldSparky — worth checking what charger you're currently running before you commit to the swap. Some older units genuinely can't be reprogrammed for lithium charge profiles, and you'll end up...
Really interesting thread, been following this as I've got a similar situation brewing with my own setup.
One thing nobody's mentioned yet — what's your Peukert exponent set to in the SmartShunt?
@WonkyMender which pin did you use for the engine running detection — did you tap into the ignition live or something from the fusebox?
@BigAl31 similar situation pushed me toward looking at this too. Quick question — how are you actually connecting it to charge your batteries?
Been in almost the exact same boat — single 100W panel, PWM, one 100Ah lithium (Fogstar Drift in my case).

@MuddyTinker One thing worth doing before you buy anything — actually log your daily consumption properly.
@SophieFisher what BMS are you running on the boat? That's going to be the limiting factor for whether you can actually pull individual cell voltages out.
I'm looking at doing something similar...
Been scratching my head over this one for a while now and can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere.
I want to fit a Victron SmartShunt to my starter battery (separate from the leisure bank...
Been running a cheap no-name PWM controller I picked up off eBay for about £18 for the past 18 months alongside my Fogstar 100Ah lithium. Honestly?
Got a puzzling one here that I'm hoping someone can help me get my head around.
Running two separate MPPTs on my system — a Victron SmartSolar 100/20 and a 100/30 — because I've got two different...
@IanWhite makes a good point on the thresholds, but has anyone also checked the assistants loaded onto the unit?
Been thinking about this one for a while and curious what others do...
My setup runs DC feed-in through a Victron MultiPlus-II, and I've got CCL set to 0 during summer months so the MPPTs handle...
