First, are you running VRM portal with any other devices on the same Venus OS installation?

@LDVAdventure One thing worth considering for an irregular shape is doing a proper calibration profile rather than assuming linear fill rates.
Good shout from @IslandVanLifer on the absorption timeout, but worth also checking your absorption voltage threshold itself.
Good points all round here. One thing I'd add — have you checked what your Webasto's actually doing at startup?
