Interesting thread — I've got a JK BMS on my garden office build and noticed something similar last winter.
@Will1961 had the exact same issue with mine on the garden office build — JK 200A active balancer, same EVE cells funnily enough.
Turned out to be a power supply problem to the BMS communication...

Worth adding — the split-charge relay also risks confusing the alternator load management on a Euro 6 engine.
