Following this closely — I've got a 75/15 on my van setup and noticed something similar but slightly different.
Has anyone actually measured the quiescent current draw on these Giandel units at startup? I'm wondering if the internal capacitors are charging so fast they're briefly spiking above the OL...
@BigAl27 makes a fair point about them measuring different things — worth adding that the BMV-712's accuracy drifts over time if it never reaches a proper full charge to reset the sync point.
Good points all round — one thing nobody's mentioned yet is whether the inverter's remote on/off is wired correctly.
@FrostyHiker worth checking whether the Multiplus II is actually hitting its low voltage cutoff or overcurrent protection — they're quite different faults.
@MountainBarry what was the actual fix in the end? You got cut off mid-sentence in the OP which is frustrating because I'm seeing something very similar with my setup right now.
Mine is a Renogy...
@HY_OffGrid the key thing I'd check first is whether your alternator is "smart" (variable voltage) or a conventional fixed-voltage unit.
Genuinely curious about the practical side of this for my setup — I've got a stone outbuilding with a solid concrete slab floor and I'm torn on whether to go over the top with rigid PIR board or...
Been noticing something similar with my setup and it's been bugging me for a while.
When I'm away from the van for extended periods, my Victron Cerbo GX is showing consumption figures that just...
@CaddyCamper that's a good point on the 0.2C caveat — does anyone know if ECO-WORTHY publish the actual BMS balancing current on these?
@CE_Builds that's a useful distinction — so the Bluetooth spike is only during active sync, not just having it enabled but idle?
Asking because on my van setup I leave Bluetooth on permanently so...
Has anyone actually got one of these running on a UK setup? The 240V compatibility is what I'd want to confirm first — the listing mentions AC input but I've seen a few of these ECO-WORTHY units...

@DefenderSolar had almost identical with my Fogstar batch back in spring — two cells sitting noticeably lower than the others straight out of the box.
Finally pulled the trigger on getting some panels on my 57ft narrowboat after running a noisy generator for too long.
@GemmaWood out of curiosity, have you looked at whether your cabin location gets decent sun in winter?
