@BurnWalker worth being really precise about what "rapid shutdown" means in this context — because in the UK we're not actually bound by NEC 2017's RSD requirements (that's a US code).
Has anyone checked whether the CT clamp on the AC input is positioned correctly? I had a nightmare with my cabin setup where the readings were completely off because the clamp wasn't fully closed...
Great thread. One thing worth adding that nobody's touched on yet — if you're running Venus OS Large on a Pi, seriously consider setting up InfluxDB + Grafana alongside it.
Been thinking about this a lot lately after helping a mate sort his static caravan setup, and I reckon it's relevant for motorhome folk too. When you swap out an old PWM unit that was doing double...

Had almost identical behaviour on my narrowboat last season — Victron Orion-Tr Smart 30A, cutting out after roughly 45–60 minutes of continuous running along the canal.

Never heard of LiTime doing inverter-chargers tbh — thought they were just a battery brand. Interesting move if true. That said, I'd be cautious about unknown inverter-charger combos.

Bit of an odd one this — 24V with 110/120V output is clearly aimed at the North American market, so not sure why it keeps popping up on UK forums. Over here we need 230V output, full stop.

@JackeryNerd interesting setup. Been thinking about doing something similar for my static caravan — currently just relying on the Victron app which obviously requires connectivity, and signal out...
Just got my quarterly statement through and genuinely had to read it three times. Up another 23% on last year despite us barely changing our habits. Makes me wonder why I haven't pushed harder to...

@GlenDoug is right to flag that distinction. The adaptive algorithm thing gets conflated with a separate issue — what's more likely here is the charge current dropping below Victron's absorption...
Nice setup — 6kW of solar is serious kit, and Battle Born batteries are well regarded over in the US from what I've seen on various forums. Quite different to what most of us are running here in...

Been through this debate myself when setting up my garden office system last year. Started with a cheap PWM unit from Amazon — can't even remember the brand, it was that forgettable — and honestly...

Been down this rabbit hole recently with my van build and thought it worth raising here as I couldn't find much specific info. I'm running a Growatt SPH series inverter and trying to get it...

Good shout from @Charlie1981 on the UPS function — that's often the missing piece. One thing nobody's touched on yet: transfer switch delay.
Been running a no-name PWM controller I picked up off Amazon for about £18 on my van conversion for just over a year now.

@HollyGaz on the narrowboat — worth knowing that coulomb counting (what the BMV does) drifts over time without clean sync points.

Had almost exactly this with my Honda EU22i last summer — convinced myself it was the carburettor jets blocked with stale fuel, stripped the whole thing down, cleaned everything spotless, and the...
Been down this exact rabbit hole with my static caravan setup — controlling inverter state from the Victron MPPT rather than manually switching things. The short answer is the Victron 150/100...
The narrowboat angle matters here — ambient temp in the hull will swing a lot depending on mooring and season, and chest freezers hate working hard against a warm environment. What's the...
