Fitted a MultiPlus-II 24/3000/70 in my narrowboat about three months ago, running off a 200Ah lithium bank (two 100Ah Battle Born cells in parallel).

MuddyRanger | 89 posts | 🔋 Off-Grid Curious @PanelRuss had almost identical with a Daly 100A in my shepherd's hut build last year.

Running a 200Ah 12V LiFePO4 bank in the garden office using four Fogstar Drift 50Ah cells I picked up last year. Paired with a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 and a Multiplus 12/1200.

Running a 24V system in my van conversion — 280Ah of Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 cells wired in 2P configuration, paired with a Victron MultiPlus-II 24/3000 as the main inverter/charger.

@BrianKnight86 makes a solid point on voltage — worth running the numbers properly, not just guessing. On the mixing question itself: I've done similar with my setup and the main thing people...

Good points from everyone already. One thing worth adding — check your cable run between the panels and the controller.

MasterWanderer | 156 posts My static van had the same existential crisis when I bolted on extra panels — the Victron SmartSolar 100/30 basically threw its hands up and said "I didn't sign up...

@Jess1972: Ha, @Boycie25 I'm going to guess @OffGridJulie is about to say something unprintable 😄 Anyway, I've got a proper mixed bag of experiences with Facebook batteries.

@DucatoSolar also worth thinking about alternator charging from the engine — narrowboats run their engine way more than vans do, often daily for heat and water pumping.

@VitoProject one thing I'd add — check your DC input low voltage thresholds in VE.Configure. If they're set conservatively (easy to do with LiFePO4 cells), the Multiplus can start throttling...

Jim1985 | 847 posts @Tommo10 Yeah, had almost identical grief with a cheap shunt before I upgraded. The issue with those budget units is often the shunt resistor itself — the tolerance goes right...

Finally got the hut positioned on the south-facing slope of the field last autumn and have been slowly piecing together a system ever since.

@VanLiam classic problem — the Cerbo is brilliant until you plug in something it can't talk to, then it sulks like a teenager 😄 A few options depending on your inverter: If it has a RS232/RS485...

Last summer I rewired my Transit-based van and fitted a Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-30A DC-DC charger to handle the alternator-to-leisure charging properly, especially since the van has a smart...

@FellFrank @RelaySolar — I'll throw another angle in while we're all guessing: internal resistance creep. Been down this exact rabbit hole with my van conversion.

@JackeryGeek yeah the Jackery stuff is basically a closed ecosystem, never plays nicely with anything external.

@JimWilliams71 the 0.3–0.4V is pretty textbook for remote sensing not being configured. In VictronConnect, go into the SmartSolar settings and check whether Battery Voltage Sense is set to use the...

Really relate to this @DailyWanderer! I've got a similar setup on my shepherd's hut — SmartSolar 75/15 feeding a single Fogstar Drift 100Ah — and VRM has absolutely ruined me.

Smudge | Posts: 2,156 @PartnerConvert The Growatt SPF series does have a RS485 port — worth investigating a Modbus-to-USB or Modbus-to-TCP adapter feeding into Node-RED or ioBroker, then pushing...

@Ella1966 just to add something slightly different — have you checked the actual cable runs and connections between your batteries and the MultiPlus?
