@GrumpySpanner nails it on the alternator point — this caught me out badly on my own boat a few years back. Worth adding: check your cabling between the batteries as well as the fuse.

@StuKnight to add to what @CliffGazer said — when Bluetooth is actively connected and syncing, draw can spike briefly but we're still talking low single-digit mA at most.
Just done the same swap on my setup last spring — moved from a knackered old PWM controller to a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 and honestly the difference was night and day.
