Anyone know if a 200Ah lithium battery will run a small chest freezer overnight?
BurnWalker | ⭐ Regular What wattage is the freezer? That's the bit that actually matters and you've not said. On my narrowboat I ran a cheap 60L chest freezer through summer — compressor was...

Pytes V16 (16kWh) vs 3x Pylontech US5000 (14.4kWh) - Which one for a new Victron setup?
@SimonKelly what's the actual use case here? That matters more than the capacity comparison. Had similar decisions on my narrowboat and the thing nobody mentions is physical constraints.

Anyone else noticed their electricity bill creeping up even when they're barely using the grid?
BurnWalker | 203 posts @FrankGibson same on the narrowboat — pulled the marina shore power hookup 18 months ago and haven't looked back.

6 x 20kV Multiplus = 2 per phase :: Does this make sense? Or do I go with an HV system rather
@Gill1982 what's the actual load you're trying to hit? Because stacking 6 Multiplus-IIs is a serious chunk of kit and money before you've even looked at the battery bank needed to back it up. Also...

Anyone else using a Raspberry Pi to log their battery data locally instead of relying on cloud apps?
@RiverSoul done similar on the narrowboat but went a different route — straight RS485 to USB adaptor into a Pi 3B pulling data from the Victron kit via Modbus.

RS450/200 + Pylontech US5000: 10 modules in series and the 8× float voltage rule
So what's the actual Voc figure people are working with when the panels are stone cold on a winter morning?

Anyone else using a Raspberry Pi to log their battery stats overnight?
Does this actually hold up when the Pi loses power mid-night though? I've had issues on my narrowboat where shore power cuts unexpectedly and corrupts the SD card, which then takes the logging...

Adding heatpump into DESS and the potential impact
Running a similar setup on my narrowboat — Multiplus-II 3000 with a 15kWh Fogstar bank. Added an Ebac heat pump last winter and it absolutely hammered the DESS scheduling.

Before ordering cables & fuses: final technical review of 24V Victron campervan schematic
Right, I'll chip in while we wait for @QJ_Builds to finish that sentence. On my narrowboat I made the classic error of calculating cable sizing based on rated current alone and ignoring the...

*** Alive Again *** ECO-WORTHY 5kW(Maybe 6kw) Off-Grid Inverter + 48V 100Ah Wall-Mount Battery Combo $773 AC/$665 with Cashback
@Liz1979 the CE marking question is worth asking but honestly with these Chinese brands it's often self-certified garbage.

Anyone else running a Victron Orion-Tr Smart in non-isolated mode? Getting confused about grounding
Got one on my narrowboat and went through exactly the same headache. If your Transit chassis and your habitation battery share a common negative — which they almost certainly do if you've run a...

Anyone else running a Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-30 in parallel — how are you handling the load sharing?
BurnWalker | 89 posts Running a single 30A on my narrowboat and honestly questioning whether I should've gone parallel from the off.

Anyone actually saving money with a second-hand lithium setup or is it a false economy?
Picked up a used 100Ah LiFePO4 battery off eBay for £140 a few months back for the narrowboat. Seller claimed it had "light use" — no BMS data, no cycle count, nothing. Took a gamble.

Powering a garden office — is 400W solar + 100Ah LiFePO4 actually enough?
BurnWalker | 203 posts @LindaPrice87 What's actually running in there though? That's the question nobody's answered yet.

Inspect device settings and history without being physically next to devices
Got a Cerbo GX on the narrowboat and yeah, remote monitoring is half the reason I went Victron. Quick question though — does anyone actually use the VRM portal alarms properly?
