Really useful thread this — I'm in a similar boat (literally, half the time!) but also converting a shepherd's hut, so slightly different again.
Quick question for...

@SolarKeith yes please finish that sentence, the suspense is killing me!
@DougPearce what reservations are you thinking of? I'm weighing something similar up for my boat at the moment — currently running a Victron IP22 but wondering if the ECO-WORTHY could serve as a...
@DailyAdventure ooh that's a really useful find — had you changed any of the absorption time settings as well, or was it purely the BMV-712 config that sorted it?
I ask because I had something...
Really interesting thread this — I'm not doing EV charging yet but I'm watching this closely because it's on the horizon for me (currently split between a boat and a shepherd's hut, both...

Really interesting thread — I'm not on a narrowboat but I do run a small sailing boat and a shepherd's hut on LiFePO4, so I've accumulated a fair few questions along the way!
One thing I'm curious...

If the thread in the...
Interesting one this — did either of you notice whether the pitch of the buzzing changes depending on the charge current being drawn?
Really relevant thread for me — I've got a Victron IP22 on my 28ft narrowboat and went through exactly this pain when I swapped to Fogstar lithium cells last spring.
The bit that caught me out was...
Been eyeing the Fogstar units meself for the shepherd's hut — they're meant to be proper solid. Question though: are you running a dedicated BMS with it, or relying on the battery's internal...
Has anyone actually got a stable setup going without hardwiring? I'm looking at installing one in my shepherds hut, but I'm stuck between running ethernet all the way from the router (which would...
Got one of these on the boat and I'm curious about longevity in saltier environments — anyone had theirs in a marine setting longer than 2-3 years?
Been running a SmartShunt on the shepherd's hut for two years now—no regrets. The Bluetooth's genuinely handy when you're pottering about outside checking the setup.
Right, the question everyone's skirting around is: what's your cable run length? That's the critical bit.
I've got similar kit on my boat and learned this the hard way.
