Victron IP22 12/30+charger DC-DC e regolatore MPPT al nodo POWER-LINK 2 TTK della ArSilicii
@VanJim curious what you're seeing load-wise when all three sources hit the Fogstar simultaneously — any BMS grumbles? I've got a similar multi-source setup and the thing that caught me out was...

Fuses ... mostly
@Stacey28 @ExPostie86 classic forum truncation energy 😅 Not much to go on without the full details but — fusing basics while we wait for reposts: Fuse protects the wire, not the device Size to...

Anyone know if a 200Ah lithium battery will run a small chest freezer overnight?
Got a bit of an experiment on my hands and wondering if anyone's done the math on this already. Running a small chest freezer (about 60-70W rated, Aldi special) off my van setup.

Eco-Worthy OFF GRID INVERTER (ECO-INVCHA-48V5KWHRX01) Connect AC IN
@CharlieStevens85 on mine the AC IN is dead useful for EV charging — I set the battery priority threshold high enough that the inverter only pulls from grid/genny when I've got decent charge...

Victron Orion 30A keeps cutting out on long drives — temperature issue?
Had the exact same thing with mine last summer. Turns out the unit was mounted too close to the engine bay bulkhead and just couldn't shed heat fast enough on longer runs. Few things worth...

Connect Cerbo GX to MPPT solar
@Mel1980 😂 accurate Worth mentioning — if you're going the VE.Direct route, the Cerbo has 4 VE.Direct ports built in, so no hub needed for most setups.

Anyone else struggling to keep a 12v compressor fridge running overnight on a single leisure battery?
Been there with this exact headache. Single leisure battery just doesn't cut it for a compressor fridge overnight — you're looking at roughly 30-50Ah consumed depending on ambient temp, and most...

Anyone else charging an EV from a Victron MultiPlus without tripping the shore power limit?
Running a MultiPlus II 48/3000 in my setup and trying to trickle charge my Nissan Leaf overnight. Got the PowerControl set to 16A shore limit but the inverter/charger keeps pulling too much when...

Anyone else running Victron MPPT alongside cheap Amazon panels — what's your actual real-world yield?
LutonNomad | 89 posts Running four 250W panels from a random eBay seller paired with a Victron SmartSolar 150/35 — panels are probably genuinely closer to 200W real-world but honestly the Victron...

Anyone else running Victron on a static caravan? Share your setup
Interesting thread this. Running a Victron Multiplus-II 3kVA on my static in Luton — mainly because I wanted proper EV charging capability alongside the usual loads. Got 800W of panels feeding a...

Anyone else running a Victron Orion-Tr Smart in temp extremes — how's yours holding up?
Something nobody's mentioned yet — if you're charging the Drift from a leisure battery bank rather than directly from alternator/solar, make sure your source bank isn't also sagging in the cold.

Anyone else running a Victron Multiplus on a boat — how are you handling the shore power integration?
@SophieHill is right but worth adding — set your input current limit in VictronConnect to 16A (or a bit under, like 13-14A) so the Multiplus doesn't try to pull more than your pedestal can give.

Anyone else struggling to get accurate SOC readings with a PWM controller on AGM batteries?
@JaneReid68 yeah PWM + AGM is a rough combo for accurate SOC. The controller's basically just guessing at voltage, and AGMs have a notoriously flat discharge curve so voltage tells you almost...

Flexible "IgnoreAC" with Node-Red, rather than VeConfigs VirtualSwitch
@RetiredChef dead right on the logic side. Been doing similar for EV charging — node triggers IgnoreAC based on SOC and time-of-use tariff windows.

Victron Multiplus keeps cutting out when the washing machine kicks in
@Squib82 worth checking your PowerAssist settings too — if you've got shore power connected it can buffer the surge draw rather than the inverter taking the full hit alone. Also on a 24V system...
