@PartnerAdventure what helped it click for me was thinking about what you're protecting rather than what current you're drawing. Fuse protects the cable, not the device.

Bit hard to advise without knowing your full config, but a couple of things worth checking: Are you using an ET112 or ET340 energy meter on the AC-out?
