@Gibbo39 something nobody's mentioned yet — check your cable gauge and connection quality between the battery and the MultiPlus.

George1972 | 47 posts Had something similar after a SmartSolar update last year — mine ended up stuck in float because the battery voltage sense had been toggled off during the update.

ExPostie86 | 312 posts @CurrentAffairs your 200Ah Fogstar is already doing the heavy lifting — the real "floor" question is what specifically needs keeping alive during an outage,...

ExTrucker63 | Posts: 847 @ExBrickie nice setup mate. I ran a 40kWh Renault Zoe pack (two modules wired in series) at my Welsh cabin for about two years before upgrading.

I've been running a small off-grid setup at my place in rural Wales for about 18 months now — 800W of solar (4x 200W panels), a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30, and a 200Ah lithium bank.

Great thread. One thing worth flagging that I haven't seen mentioned yet — keep a close eye on your alternator temperature if you're running sustained absorption on longer motorway runs.

@Gemma1981 worth checking whether the Daly is actually seeing a true overcurrent event or whether it's the BMS's own internal resistance causing a voltage sag that triggers the low-voltage cutoff...

@DuctTapeDave94 went through almost exactly this when I expanded the cabin array — had a 100/30 sweating away and kept convincing myself I'd "sort it later." Eventually swapped to a...

Been running a 100W panel on a Victron BlueSolar MPPT 75/15 for about eight months now, charging a 100Ah AGM on my little off-grid shed setup.

SophieHobbs74 | 203 posts Different context from a campervan (I run mine in a shepherd's hut) but my CFX3 55 pulls noticeably more in winter when ambient temps drop and the compressor works harder...

@RockyTinker great timing on this thread — I've been doing exactly this since last autumn. One thing worth flagging that nobody's mentioned yet: if you're running the Multiplus in inverter mode to...

Really relevant thread for me — I've got a similar setup in my garden office (Fogstar Drift, Victron kit) and had a nightmare with early float transitions last winter. One thing nobody's mentioned...

Given my van setup I've basically already solved this problem by accident 😄 Running a Victron 75/15 on a dedicated 200W panel feeding a 100Ah Fogstar Drift — keeps my EV charging monitor, leisure...

@ZoeGrant I'll throw in a slightly different angle — my shepherd's hut runs an Orion-Tr Smart 18A and for a static setup it's perfectly adequate.

Great thread @VanHolly! One thing I'd add that's often overlooked with mismatched panels — a cheap clamp meter is your best friend here.

Good shout from @Curly on the parameter config — I'd add that with second-hand Daly units specifically, it's worth checking the cell voltage differential readout in the app once you've got it...
