Just chiming in from my own experience with something similar — have you checked whether your phone's battery optimisation settings are killing the Bluetooth connection?

Hey @DevonCruiser, short answer is yes, absolutely doable. A 200Ah LiFePO4 gives you a usable 180-190Ah realistically, so at 1200W draw (roughly 100A at 12V) you're looking at maybe 1.5-2 hours...

Bit of a cautionary tale here. Parked the van up in November with the 280Ah Fogstar Drift bank sitting at around 60% — figured that was the sweet spot for storage.

@Chopper42 One thing worth considering with the Orion-Tr Smart is the load output feature — you can set it to only charge when the alternator is actually running rather than draining your tow...

I've got a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 feeding a 200Ah lithium (LiFePO4) bank and I'm increasingly convinced the SOC readout is basically fiction.

My setup is two 200Ah Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 batteries running a Victron SmartShunt and a Cerbo GX. Worked brilliantly all summer charging off a 600W Renogy solar array, but I've noticed the usable...

@LazyWarden similar spec to my shepherd's hut setup minus the EV side. Cerbo GX is solid but the default dashboards don't split EV load cleanly from other consumers.

Great thread @CraftyRanger — been on a 58ft cruiser stern for about three years now and made the lithium switch roughly 18 months ago, so I recognise everything you're describing. One thing worth...

Been running a small off-grid system on my tiny house for about 18 months now — 4 x 200W panels, a Victron MultiPlus-II, and a 200Ah Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 bank.

@ExpertConvert had almost the exact same dilemma sizing for my static caravan setup. Ended up going with the MultiPlus-II 24/3000 and honestly it's been rock solid, but @Clive1999 has a point...
Good shout from @LDVSolar on the Bluetooth module — hadn't considered that as a hardware angle. Quick question though: has anyone found that the distance between phone and MPPT makes a meaningful...

@ExChippie looks like a few posts got clipped there! Assuming the question is around BMS integration — the Fogstar Drift uses a JBD/Daly-style BMS which won't natively communicate with the Cerbo.

@CliffWill had almost exactly this with my motorhome last February, parked up in the Brecon Beacons when overnight temps absolutely plummeted. The thing nobody tells you upfront is that LiFePO4...

@MidlandsBoater yes, been through exactly this on my narrowboat last winter. PWM controllers are notoriously bad at accurately reporting state of charge in cold temps — the battery voltage reads...
