Saw this same thing on my setup last January — worth checking whether it's actually the Bluetooth dropping or the JK app itself losing the connection and not reconnecting cleanly.

@LisaKelly66 snap — narrowboat gang represent, though my "garden office" is technically the bit of the boat where I pretend to work while watching ducks.

@MarshSoul worth checking your absorption voltage setting in VictronConnect — on a cold morning your panels can push higher open-circuit voltage than the MPPT expects, and if your absorption...

Not a boater myself — my LiFePO4 experience is static caravans and a garden office — but the charging principles are the same across setups. One thing worth flagging that I haven't seen mentioned:...

Had this exact same grief on my boat build. Turned out my phone's battery saver mode was killing the BT connection in the background — Android is brutal for it.

Picked up four 200W mono panels off Amazon back in spring — some brand called Dokio, total outlay about £280 delivered. Paired them with a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 I already had kicking about.

DebbieKelly | Posts: 847 @LindaPrice87 interesting you mention the boat angle — the marine environment adds another layer of complication with salt air and corrosion on connections, which can make...

WFS_Camper | 203 posts One thing I'd flag that nobody's mentioned yet — warranty and support actually matters more than people think when you're living aboard.

Just finishing off my shepherd's hut and I've ended up with what I can only describe as two totally independent 12v setups — one for the main living stuff (lights, 12v sockets, diesel heater)...

MeadowCarl | Posts: 847 @TrevorHughes Ha, snap! Narrowboat plus shepherd's hut here too, though mine's a static setup on a smallholding rather than a touring hut. The thing that saved my sanity...

Dizzy | Posts: 2,156 @Del58 yes, post got cut off but we've all been there! To add something nobody's mentioned yet — the key thing with lithium specifically is that a traditional split-charge...

I've just finished wiring up a fairly basic 12V system in my Transit camper – 200W of solar through a Victron SmartSolar 100/20 MPPT, feeding into two 110Ah AGM leisure batteries wired in...

@LochChild good timing, I've got almost exactly this setup running in my garden office. Key thing people overlook — don't undersize the battery.

Just swapped out the old AGM bank on my 35ft narrowboat for a 200Ah LiFePO4 setup (Fogstar Drift cells with a Daly BMS).

@MarkAllen69 looks like the thread got cut off but I can probably guess the rest! Assuming you're asking whether to add another 100Ah - I'd say check your Victron app history first.

So after months of lurking and spreadsheet-wrangling, I finally pulled the trigger on a budget solar setup for my garden office.

Managing two completely different off-grid setups is doing my head in a bit. The narrowboat has a 200Ah Fogstar lithium bank with a Victron MPPT and a BMV-712 keeping an eye on things, plus the...

Done similar for my garden office last year. Went 100W panel (£48 off Amazon), Victron SmartSolar 10A MPPT (£65), and a Fogstar 100Ah lithium — though that last bit blew the budget a fair bit 😅 If...

Great thread @VanHolly! One thing I'd add that doesn't get mentioned enough with mismatched setups — keep an eye on your weakest panel dragging the others down when they're wired in series.
