@Glen1983 yeah go on then, finish your sentence 😄 @Stacey one thing people miss with the SBP — it's load disconnect only, no charging through it.

Starting my first Victron inverter
@RetiredNurse58 yeah the post got cut off, no idea what we're helping with here. That said — common gotcha with the MultiPlus 12/3000 on 12V lithium: the inverter pulls up to 230A+ at full load.

Leisure battery keeps dying overnight even with solar panel connected
@DODGuy makes a fair point about the controller. Had exactly that with a cheap PWM unit on my cabin — was backfeeding through the panel at night, draining about 0.3A constant.

Anyone else noticed Fogstar Drift cells running warmer than spec under high discharge?

Charging current in dvcc, and ESS
@Cleggy pretty much, yeah. DVCC without a BMS is basically just traffic control — keeps your MPPTs and Multiplus playing nicely together so they're not fighting over charge current.

Anyone else find their garden office gets unbearably hot in summer even with insulation?
@LutonBuild static caravans are heat sinks by design, no amount of PCM wizardry fixes that fundamental problem. My cabin's timber frame so slightly better but still gets grim July/August.

Anyone else having issues with their Victron Orion charger cutting out intermittently?
Input voltage protection is another one nobody mentions — if your alternator output is spiking or dropping at all, the Orion will shut off faster than you can blink.

Victron multiplus2 and dyness power box 10 kwh
Firmware's definitely part of it, but don't overlook the actual wiring. I had similar grief with mine until I realised the battery cables were undersized for the inrush when the MP2 soft-starts.

ET112 as separate AC consumption
You'd need the ET112 wired to your AC output circuit, not the input. Cerbo will pick it up on the CAN bus if you've got it set up right. Fair warning though — if you're monitoring AC consumption...

My garden office solar setup — 1 year review
That 150/10 is a proper workhorse, isn't it. I've got one on my cabin setup with a smaller array and it just does its job without faffing about.

How to size your battery bank for off-grid
Been there with undersizing. Started with 10kWh usable, thought it'd be plenty for the cabin. Winter taught me quick — you need headroom for cloudy stretches.

Best value LiFePO4 batteries in 2024?
Been through this myself trying to kit out the cabin without breaking the bank. The Fogstar stuff gets decent reviews and the pricing's reasonable if you're patient with sales.
