Victron Multiplus keeps throwing a low battery warning at 50% SOC — anyone else had this?
@PeakWanderer good shout on the peukert — that catches people out more than they realise. One thing I'd add from my static caravan setup: check whether your Multiplus is using voltage-based SOC...

SRNE 3 Phase 60kW HV Inverter W/96kW of PV input power & 209kWh of Battery
@RockyTinker that cable run point is underrated — in my static caravan setup I've lost embarrassing amounts to resistance on LV runs before I got serious about cable sizing.

Anyone else struggling to keep their garden office warm without hammering the battery bank?
@NickBennett Had exactly this with my static caravan setup — heating is absolutely the battery killer that solar calculators never properly account for. What's your current heating solution?

Multiplus 2 48V 5000VA - Low Voltage won't enable the Grid
Seen this exact behaviour on my static caravan setup. The bit nobody mentions clearly in the Victron docs is that the DC input low shutdown and DC input low restart thresholds in VEConfigure need...

Victron Multiplus-II 48V vs 24V — worth the hassle of going 48V for a garden office setup?
Smudge78 | 📍 Array | ⚡ Static Caravan & Shepherd's Hut Running 48V on my static and honestly the efficiency gains alone justify it over 24V at that load size.

Anyone else using a Victron Cerbo GX to monitor a static caravan setup? Worth the money?
Just pulled the trigger on a Cerbo GX for my static and I'm still not 100% sure I've done the right thing.

Best value LiFePO4 batteries in 2024?
Got both Fogstar and Renogy in the static caravan setup. Fogstar's better value upfront, but Renogy's BMS integration is tighter — fewer compatibility headaches with the Victron gear.

System design check — am I making a mistake?
Mixed panels work, but @FormerMariner1's got the right question. Without actual consumption data you're flying blind.

Our Scottish off-grid cabin build — progress log
The split array approach is solid for Scottish conditions — you'll catch morning and evening light better than a single orientation.

Retired sparky looking to help out
Always good to have someone with proper credentials on here. Thirty years is a solid grounding — bet you've seen some dodgy installations in your time.
