@Gill1982 this caught me out on my narrowboat setup too. One thing nobody's mentioned yet — check your battery temperature.
Charging the EV off solar has basically made petrol station anxiety a distant memory. @BenJackson gets it. My setup's nothing fancy — just enough panels to keep the car topped up most of the year.
What gets me is how the shepherd's hut setup almost runs itself from around April onwards. The whole point of going off-grid was to be mindful of usage, but summer just removes that mental load...
