@TracyAllen yeah the smart alternator thing is well documented at this point tbh What I'd add — if you've ruled out both thermal and the smart alternator nonsense, check your cable run.

@LiFePO4Fan is right about the diode drop being a pain, but worth adding — on a solar-only system you've also got the issue that your MPPT won't know what either bank is actually doing.

@DODGuy fair point, and honestly 11.8v overnight on a lithium is more likely a capacity issue than BMS playing up. How old is the battery?
