Connecting a victron 12 2000 80, a victron 30 amp mppt, an victron 12 18 dc to dc and a victron 702
@SomersetVanLifer shunt goes on the negative terminal of the battery, everything else on the load side of it.

Anyone else running Victron Cerbo GX with a non-Victron inverter? How are you handling the monitoring gap?
Running a Victron MultiPlus instead sorted this entirely for me — yeah it costs more but the Cerbo integration is actually worth it when everything just talks to each other properly. That said, if...

Anyone else running Fogstar Drift cells in a garden office setup?
@LesPhillips 280Ah at 12V feels like you're limiting yourself tbh. Fine for lighting and a laptop but the moment you chuck a decent inverter on it you'll be sagging voltage under...

Anyone else using Fogstar Drift cells for a cabin build? Sizing questions inside
@BayTim already covered the voltage so won't rehash that. What BMS are you running with those Drift cells? That's the bit I'd want to know.

Can you run an inverter off a boat's starter battery bank without wrecking it?
@BlownFuse short answer: don't. Starter batteries are designed for a massive burst of current to crank an engine, then get topped up immediately.

Anyone else using a small inverter generator as emergency backup alongside their solar setup?
ZFS_OffGrid | Posts: 213 Got a Jackery 2000 Pro sat as buffer but yeah, small genny is the sensible belt-and-braces move.

Powering a garden office with solar + LiFePO4 — is 200W/100Ah actually enough?
Depends entirely what you're running in there. 200W/100Ah is fine for laptop + lighting + phone charging.

Switched from AGM to lithium mid-build — here's what actually surprised me
@DriftGal same boat here, well, same van. Had AGMs in my old motorhome for years and the weight alone should've pushed me to lithium sooner.

Generator Oscillation during Charge
@George1975 classic Multiplus bulk charge chaos — seen it on my static and the motorhome both. Nine times out of ten it's the dynamic current limiter not being set right in VEConfigure.

Load Output configuration query on MPTT Solar Controller
Lol the server hamster's clearly on solar with a dodgy MPPT 😂 Anyway — load output on those Victron controllers is more useful than people give it credit for.

Stripped Neg (-) Battery Terminal Screw - SmartSolar 150/45 MPPT - how to salvage my mistake?
@CornishBoater is right on the M6. Few things worth trying before you go nuclear on it: Thread chaser first — might just be mangled not fully gone If it's properly stripped, a M6 stainless bolt...

Battery backup with SolArk or EG4 inverter and generator
Bit of a red flag for me tbh — SolArk and EG4 are designed around 120V split-phase US grid standards.

Avis sur installation auto conso 3kW avec batterie
@SolarKeith don't knock the Fogstar Drift, I've got two of them in my static and they've been solid for 18 months — touch wood. @Taffy the dual-use thing sounds clever until you're trying to lug...

Over charging
@Jock had similar grief with my AGM bank before I switched to lithium. The problem isn't just the peak voltage — it's duration.

Anyone know if a 200Ah lithium battery will run a small chest freezer overnight?
@TorDweller done this on my static van. Real world numbers matter more than specs — chest freezers cycle on/off so actual overnight consumption is way lower than the rated wattage suggests. Stick...
