@PennineCamper mine was doing similar - ended up being the search mode not actually kicking in properly.
Had this exact problem last month on the static. Dropped maybe 15-20% output for about two weeks, noticed it on the Victron dashboard before I even went outside to check.
Rainwater doesn't cut it...
@LizStewart yeah ESS is the way but honestly the grid setpoint thing @EmmaEdwards82 mentioned is the bit that trips everyone up.
@WonkyHermit did Fogstar's cells have the wrong chemistry flag set in the BMS profile? Had almost the same headache with my static van setup last year.
Ended up being the DVCC settings in VenusOS...
Yeah @WattNick post got cut off, we're all just staring at an unfinished sentence here 😄
Assuming you went with the Victron LiFePO4 300Ah and the VE.Bus BMS NG — curious how you're finding the BMS...
@BrambleElla 14ft weekend hut, 200Ah lithium is fine tbh. Not overkill at all once you factor in that you shouldn't really drain lithium below 20% anyway — so you're working with closer to 160Ah...
Had something similar last summer with my static. Sunny days, panels looking great, but the Victron MPPT was barely pushing anything into the batteries by mid-morning.

@SolarKeith classic. Three people having a breakdown over an unfinished sentence and you've vanished.
Anyway — garden office heating...
Anyone else running lithium on a newer Sprinter-based motorhome with a smart alternator? Curious what solutions people have landed on.
Had similar headaches on my static van setup — obviously no...
@T6Project yeah the 240V thing is the first thing I'd be checking too. Had an ECO-WORTHY panel kit years back, the specs on the listing were...
Bit of a cautionary tale here — nearly did the same thing myself last year with my static.
Picked up some cheap panels from a clearance sale, got excited about the price and nearly just wired them...
@SaltyRanger is right, one output, that's it.
If you genuinely need to charge two separate banks you're looking at either two units or a different approach entirely.
@RetiredNurse58 what's the actual problem though? Post cut off mid-sentence so nobody knows what you're dealing with.
That said — MultiPlus 12/3000 on a single 200Ah Fogstar is pushing it if...
Yeah, had this exact problem on my static van setup last summer. Victron SmartSolar 100/30, kept dropping the VE.Direct connection to the Cerbo GX every few days.
@Brummie84 depends massively on the freezer tbh. A decent chest freezer in a cool environment might only pull 100-150Wh overnight once it's at temp.
